Harvard is number one
Harvard has ranked number one out of the Ivy Leagues in the Wall Street Journal/Times Higher Education College Rankings.
The Wall Street Journal reports, “Outcomes measure things such as graduate salaries and whether students graduate on time, while resources consider metrics including academic spending and student-to-faculty ratios.”
These areas compromise 70 percent of the weight in the overall ranking.
Harvard to rescind medal it gave to Harvey Weinstein
Harvard is rescinding the 2014 W.E.B. Du Bois medal awarded to Harvey Weinstein who has been accused of having sexually assaulted over 40 women.
The Harvard Crimson reports, “The Executive Committee of the Hutchins Center for African and African American Research, a group of five professors that unanimously voted to award Weinstein the medal three years ago, voted Tuesday night to rescind the honor in the wake of the reporting detailing Weinstein’s behavior, according to Hutchins Center Executive Director Abby Wolf.”
